It is extended almost 5 km along the coast and it’s turned to the nine islands and islets that make a laguna (sort of bay). Opposite to Brodarica there is the island of Krapanj whose inhabitants through centuries deal with sponges. Inhabitants of Brodarica are traditionally connected to the island of Krapanj, from which most of them settled to Brodarica.
Brodarica is a very important tourist place of Šibenik riviera – settlement made of villas and private houses, appropriate for the family vacation and enjoying in the picturesque stone- and sandy-beaches. It distinguishes itself with attractive coves.
From the southern side of Brodarica (from Split direction) the main road (Adriatic coast) passes across the Morinje bay which is the place of fish spawning, and whose mixed sea- and fresh-water provides cultivation of shells. North part of this bay is rich with layers of healing mud, which more and more encourages development of health tourism.
